The beginnings of the Bimbrownia (Moonshine) date back to 2008, when the first rehearsal and recording room was created for the needs of the band's own work in the old Austrian cavalry barracks in Rzeszow. It was there that the folk-punk band Troty was founded in 2010. It is during her concerts, recordings and rehearsals that the moonshiner gains the so-called "come to terms with" the reality of music that is unpopular in Poland. The specific nature of the business determines changes in the location of the studio. First, 10 Targowa Street, which in the years 2012-2014 became a recognizable place of independent culture of all kinds in Rzeszow, and then Plac Wolności, which on the ruins of an alcohol den turned into a real recording studio. It was then, in 2014, that the name bimbrownia became permanently attached to our independent musical activities. It is worth mentioning the fantastic bands that have cooperated with us: Chamy z Bramy, The Balangers, Leśna Trio, Anty Apartheid, Sabała Bacała, Tofu Riot, Wielki Las, Habury Kangury, Schnellzug, Cfany Drań and many others. The moonshine factory operated in Rzeszów until 2017, when water pouring from our neighbor's broken pipe completely flooded the studio. The search for a place took a long time. In 2017, permanent cooperation with the Zbuntowana Orkiestra Podwórkowa Hańba! was established in Krakow. Several years of wandering around garages and warehouses lead us to our current location, the studio at 5 Lindego Street in Krakow. Here, in the industrial space of former carpentry workshops, since 2020 we have been creating an independent culture by supporting and co-creating various musical projects.
